Reed Exhibitions Austria is a subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions in London (RELX-Group), one of the market leaders in the exhibitions industry and currently active in 40 countries across the globe. In the Austrian group of companies are Reed Exhibitions Messe Salzburg, Reed Exhibitions Messe Wien, exclusive operator of Messe Wien, and STANDout, one of the top 20 exhibition-stand building companies in Europe. Reed Exhibitions Austria is active in Salzburg, Vienna, Linz, Wels and Dusseldorf and workplace for ~370 employees.
Management of Reed Exhibitions Austria
As of 1st November 2017 Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein (MBA) is the chairman of the executive board and CEO (Chief Executive Officer) at Reed Exhibitions Austria. Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein joined the company in April 2015 as managing director of Reed Messe Salzburg and Reed Messe Wien.
Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein began his occupational career in Austria in sales working for the Mayr-Melnhof Packaging Group. He worked here from 1999 to 2011 eventually being promoted to Head of Hales for Austria, Romania, Italy, Turkey and the SEE region and to the position of General Manager. During this period he also completed an Executive MBA at the IEDC Bled School of Management (Slovenia).
Subsequently, Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein was appointed COO (Chief Operating Officer) at F. Trenka chem.-pharm Fabrik GmbH in Vienna. He was responsible for the establishment of new fields of business and for cooperation with contract manufacturers. Immediately before he joined Reed Exhibitions he was Director of Marketing and Sales in Europe for Graphic Packaging International, based in Brussels, for whom his tasks included the conceptualisation and implementation of a Europe-wide sales and marketing strategy.
Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein was born in Vienna in 1977.
Ronald Herzog has been announced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Reed Exhibitions Austria on November 1, 2017 and since then is responsible for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Purchasing, Legal, Insurance and Revenue Management.
After graduating from commercial academy in St. Johann/Salzburg, Ronald Herzog completed his studies in commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration with a focus on foreign trade, financing and marketing. While still a student, he worked for the ERSTE Bank AG and undertook a university education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US).
From 2000 to 2008 he worked as an investment manager in the co-management of a 20 million Euro venture capital fund at ECOS Private Equity. Finally, in 2008, Ronald Herzog started his career at Reed Exhibitions, where he first began as a financial analyst for the Central Eastern Europe Region and shortly thereafter took over the management role for the controlling team in Vienna. At the end of 2009 Ronald Herzog took over management of the whole controlling department of Reed Exhibitions Austria. In addition, in 2013, the Head of Department of bookkeeping followed and when he was finally appointed Finance Director in 2015, Ronald Herzog took over the responsibility for the purchasing department in addition to his current functions.
Ronald Herzog was born in Schwarzach in 1975, is married and lives in Salzburg.
Since 2nd July 2018, Dietmar Eiden, has been based in Salzburg, having taken on responsibility for the operative management of all B2B fairs in Reed Exhibitions’ Austrian portfolio; hence, he now holds a key position within the corporate group. Dietmar Eiden is a marketing specialist and also has comprehensive experience in the fields of strategic corporate consultancy, strategy development, business process optimisation and business development. From 2005 until this summer he was employed in Cologne at Messe Köln, most recently in the position of Vice President.
Dietmar Eiden was born in Wattenscheid. At Messe Köln he took charge of a broad and partly international range of tasks, above all with responsibility for the successful development of the ‘Food and Food Technology’ category. Prior to his appointment to the position of Vice President in Cologne, he was Project Manager of the Anuga. In the years beforehand, Mr. Eiden, who graduated with an economics degree from Ruhr University in Marketing and Planning & Organisation, worked as Product Manager Automotive Aftermarket at 3M Deutschland in Neuss, Head of Marketing & Sales at the AIP Institute in Hagen and as Senior Project Manager for Stein Promotions GmbH, Bob Bomliz Group, Düsseldorf (BBDO).
Dietmar Eiden is married and has two children.
On the 4th June 2018, Gernot Krausz (Mag., MBA) assumed executive operative management functions as the new Managing Director of the B2C expo sector. In this function Mr. Krausz reports directly to the CEO, Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein. Gernot Krausz’s portfolio segment encompasses more than a dozen B2C shows, including the Vienna Autoshow, Ferien-Messe, Bauen & Energie, Wohnen & Interieur, Die Hohe Jagd & Fischerei and Bauen+Wohnen Salzburg. The core tasks assigned to Mr. Krausz and his team are brand management, the strategic development and positioning of existing events in the B2C sector, and the establishment of new show formats for Reed Exhibitions in Austria.
Before Gernot Krausz joined Reed Exhibitions he was CEO at the 120-employee trading company Eduard Kettner GmbH, a business active in Austria, Germany and Croatia, from 2010. Subsequent occupational stations included the position of Controller at the Bank of Burgenland, CEO at Apsys moderne Baustoffsysteme GmbH, and Controller of Retail Business at REWE AG. He acquired the theoretical and scientific skills required for his later career while studying for his degree at the Vienna University for Economics and Business (WU Wien). In 2014 and 2015 he participated in a postgraduate programme at WU Wien, where he later acquired an Executive MBA. He also completed the Omni and Cross Channel Management course at the University of St. Gallen.
Gernot Krausz was born in 1979. He is married and lives in Perchtoldsdorf near Vienna.
